T.A.E.I.L. is a community built around the things that matter when life feels most human: reflection, memory, care, connection, preparation, grief, celebration, and legacy.
It is being created for people who have lost someone, people who want a more private place to reflect on the life they are living, people preparing practical guidance for the future, and people who want to stay connected through love, memory, and care.

Why It Exists
T.A.E.I.L. was born from one father's lonely death, one woman a crisis line could not hold long enough, one parent's concern for a daughter's future milestones, and the conviction that love, reflection, and care should not begin only when loss arrives.
Founder Jesse H. C. Lee's father, Tae Il, died alone in Canada while his family was scattered across the world. No one noticed for days.
After leaving teaching, Jesse attended a 10-day Vipassana course. In that silence, the shape of the answer came together: build the community that should have always existed—a place where the dead can be remembered, the living can reflect and prepare in their own time, and care can keep moving forward.
Why T.A.E.I.L. Is Different
T.A.E.I.L. is being built as a permanently not-for-profit, mission-protected enterprise with no shareholders, no equity investors, no dividends, and no conventional exit.
It is intentionally not seeking registered-charity status. T.A.E.I.L. aims to show what is possible when an organisation is designed for public benefit and member care without private ownership or investor pressure.
Access and Fairness
T.A.E.I.L. is being designed so that care, reflection, remembrance, and community are not reserved only for people with substantial means.
Any future membership structure, pricing, and access arrangements will be published only when they are final, properly reviewed, and ready to be honoured responsibly. Higher membership options, if offered, will not purchase governance control, ownership, preferential safeguarding, or influence over other members.
Community Before Profit
T.A.E.I.L. is being built so that anyone who wants to belong, can belong.
Safeguarding First
T.A.E.I.L. will not open to members until safeguarding foundations are in place.
That includes appropriate independent safeguarding input, a written and reviewed safeguarding policy, moderation and escalation processes, protection for vulnerable users and minors, and controls around privacy, access permissions, welfare checks, death verification, legacy messaging, and passing notifications.
We would rather delay launch than open a harmful system.
Domain and Contact Separation
T.A.E.I.L. is exploring a two-domain, one-organisation structure:
- taeilcommunity.org — public, non-member-facing community information, learning, editorial material, crisis signposting, and general-interest contact.
- taeil.life — future member-controlled Sanctuary, Memorial, Remembrance, legacy, preparation, privacy, access, and other member-related functionality.
During the current pre-launch period, contact@taeilcommunity.org is the featured public contact route for non-members. contact@taeil.life is reserved for member-related communications and will be presented for member use only when the route is defined, monitored, and operationally ready.
Support the Build
T.A.E.I.L. is in a pre-registration, pre-incorporation, pre-launch build phase. The immediate work is building the safeguarding foundations, governance, legal structure, technical direction, and operational readiness needed for a responsible future launch.
No campaign, contribution route, membership offer, or payment arrangement is currently live. Any future fundraising or membership information will be shared only after incorporation, organisation banking, payment-processor confirmation, platform configuration, and Canadian legal review are complete.
