Future Member services
Informational Architecture Guide — Services Are In Pre-Launch Planning
T.A.E.I.L. distinguishes open community spaces from sensitive, private services designed for personal reflection, family memory, end-of-life preparation, and legacy release. While our public and community platform lives at taeilcommunity.org, sensitive personal spaces are planned for the protected domain taeil.life.
Why Member services have stronger safeguards
Member services touch what is most intimate in human life: personal reflections, recorded grief, after-death messages for children, guidance for trustees, and passing notifications. These are irreversible, deeply personal workflows.
They cannot be treated like ordinary website pages or secured by simple shared passwords. They require:
- Server-side identity verification and active paid membership entitlements.
- Feature-level access evaluation on every interaction.
- Step-up authentication and recorded verification for high-risk actions (such as appointing a Caretaker or modifying message release triggers).
- Strict server-enforced access logging, auditability, and revocation controls.
- Independent, encrypted infrastructure suited to long-term digital preservation.
Services intended for Members
Once legal incorporation, safeguarding protocols, technical systems, and Canadian legal review are complete, Members will be able to access the following dedicated services on taeil.life:
Sanctuary
A private, personalized space for living members to reflect on their own journey, articulate life values, gather meaningful guidance, and prepare for the path ahead in their own time.
Memorial
A lasting space to honor, remember, and celebrate someone who has passed away—whether created newly after a loss or gently transitioned from their existing Sanctuary upon verified death.
Cherished Moments
A dedicated archive to keep close meaningful stories, audio, photos, and milestones, letting shared love and family memory remain an enduring source of warmth.
Message from the Afterlife
Pre-recorded video, voice, or written messages delivered to specific loved ones on future milestone dates they choose—graduations, weddings, or birthdays—whether the sender is there or not.
When the Time Comes
A clear, dignified repository of practical guidance, personal wishes, practical contacts, and instructions so trusted family members have less painful guesswork during bereavement.
Passing Notification Network
A gentle, reliable notification system that delivers verified, respectful notices to designated family and trusted circles once a death has been properly confirmed.
Permission, privacy, and access
At T.A.E.I.L., access is never automatic:
- Sanctuaries are private by default. They can never be browsed publicly or found via search engines unless an owner deliberately grants explicit permission.
- Directory discoverability does not grant access. Having another member in a chat, in your address book, or in a Circle of Care group never grants permission to view their Sanctuary, Memorial, or legacy records.
- Caretakers and Point Persons hold narrowly scoped, revocable, and auditable permissions for after-death coordination or emergency support—they never hold unmonitored ownership or general account control.
Sanctuary and Memorial access
If someone attempts to view a Sanctuary or Memorial without having been explicitly granted permissions by the creator or author, our system returns a privacy-preserving notice:
"This space is not available to you."
The system never reveals whether the space exists, who created it, why access is unavailable, or what private contents it may hold. This protects families from unauthorized discovery, social pressure, and grief intrusion.
What is not available yet
T.A.E.I.L. is not yet open to the public for membership sales or sensitive data entry. We are currently completing our pre-launch requirements:
- No membership purchase, subscription fee, or payment processing is currently live.
- No accounts can be registered on taeil.life at this time.
- No sensitive documents, recordings, or personal memorials are currently being collected.
Any future pricing (such as our preliminary planning model of as little as $12/year or CAD $1/month) is shared strictly as an internal planning reference and not as a live commercial offer. Final terms will be presented only after Canadian CNCA incorporation and counsel clearance.
